The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is an autonomous body responsible for co-ordinating agricultural education and research in India. It reports to the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture. The Union Minister of Agriculture serves as its president. The aim of ICAR is to promote the development and improvement of the activities of identification, performance recording and the evaluation of farm livestockICAR AIEEA score is accepted by approximately 51 Agriculture universities in India .ICAR Exam is for admission into 15% seats in Undergraduate courses (BSc, B.Tech), 25% seats in Masters and 100% seats in Phd.
Candidates must pass the 10+2 or equivalent examination from CBSE or any other examination within scope and standard found to be equivalent to the Senior Secondary Examination of a recognized Indian Board/university after a period of 12 years of study. The medium of instruction in the admitting University will be English.
Physics, Chemistry and any one of the subject from Biology/Home Science/ Mathematics/Agriculture are the subjects having in the qualifying exam.
General/OBC /UPS category candidates have to obtain the 50% for and 40% SC/ST/PC category candidates.
Undergraduates Courses: The ICAR AIEEA candidate must have completed 10+2 with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for General category and 40% for SC/ST and PWD.
The ICAR AIEEA candidate must have secured at least 60% marks if he or she belongs to the General category, for SC/ST/PH the eligibility slab is 50% marks from any recognized university and is equivalent to the bachelor's degree.
Paper Pattern for UG courses: The ICAR AIEEA exam pattern consists of single question booklet comprising of five subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and Agriculture. The Paper will have 180 multiple choice type questions.
Paper Pattern for PG courses: The question paper of ICAR AIEEA PG admission test for each of the 20 major subject-groups consists of 150 MCQ type questions and 10 cross-matching type questions.
